Hattie Cross White was born on February 23, 1922, in Eutaw Alabama. She relocated to River Rouge at the age of 13 and attended school in the River Rouge School System. On June 22, 1946, she married Albert James White and they were married 52 years he died in 1998. She's a mother of seven children. She has lived in Southwest Detroit Community for 85 years and is truly a Matriarch in the village.
