ECORSE - Someone once said “time is of the essence” to emphasize the importance of taking action and following through with completion using the moments we are given. On Tuesday, June 4th 2019, Thee Sista Collective, an entrepreneurial minded feminine force unified by time and essence, headlined the Ecorse City Council meeting. Thee Sista Collective portrayed their unity, businesses and mission as they stood in front of Ecorse Mayor, Lamar Tidwell and the council. They are Sistas of integrity dedicated to advancing the community through entrepreneurship, health advocacy and cultural values. Now is the time for collective action in Ecorse, Michigan. One of their objectives is to transform a parcel of Ecorse land into an urban farm, meditation corner, youth reading nook, and a space for yoga and exercise. With these efforts, they shine light on mental, and physical health, beautification, food sovereignty, and the youth of Ecorse, Michigan and cities like it. The mayor and council supported the efforts of Thee Sista Collective asking how soon they could start! After the motion was approved the community embraced them and enjoyed the samples provided by the Sistas of the Collective’s individual businesses. The businesses featured were Pine By Me (IG: @pineby_me), Magkrave Smoothies (IG:@magkravellc), Blue Lotus Essentials (IG: @bluelotusessentials), Naturalista Life (IG: @naturalistalifeexpo) and The Alkaline Cafe (IG: @the_alkaline_cafe).
