Have you seen Jennifer Blackmon?

You May Have Forgotten, But We Didn't

Series: MISSING IN METRO DETROIT | Story 1

Imagine having a normal December day, snow on the ground, hot cocoa on the stove and joyful spirits as everyone prepares for the holidays. To some that would be the best day possible, but what if that day took a tragic turn because one of your loved ones suddenly vanished. That was a burden the family and friends of River Rouge native, Jennifer Blackmon was forced to bear.

Last year on December 22, 2020, Blackmon never showed up to work or returned home. That was very unlike her being a mother of four who loves her children immensely. Her family was left distraught. Jennifer was the youngest of six and the only girl. She was often referred to as " the glue that held the family together.

"

The one year anniversary of her disappearance is near, still the River Rouge police department has no leads, slow progress and little to no communication with the family of Mrs. Blackmon. Heartbroken, confused and frustrated with the lack of support from River Rouge's Police Department, Jennifer's loved ones ask that you share any information that can help move the case along.

If you saw anything on December 22, 2020 or you know anything, call the River Rouge Police Department at 313-842-4200 or Crimestoppers at 1-800-SPEAKUP (you can stay anonymous).
