I attended River Rouge Public schools from Kindergarten through 12th grade. After graduating from River Rouge High School, I lived in St. Louis, MO where I worked at Fort Leonard Wood and Ford

Motor Company. After five years, I returned home and got involved in many community activities.

Employment History:

I began my work career at Revere Copper and Brass and became involved in

many work-related activities that led me to be elected as their Union President as a member of UAW Local 174. I was soon to Administrative Assistant to the Local 174 President and eventually an International Representative. After my UAW career, I became a Political Consultant

to many prominent politicians in the Detroit metropolitan area. After retiring, I opened the Woodhouse Day Spa in downtown Detroit which remains a thriving business.

Who inspires you and why:

Robert "Buddy" Battle, Nelson Jack Edwards and Horace Sheffield, Jr. who were my mentors at UAW

What do you remember most about growing up in the community where you did?

My Mother's activism in the schools, community and politics and the closeness of family and friends.

What type of activities would you like to participate in?

Tennis and Racquetball

What message would you like to give to your grandchildren?

Remember your heritage and live up to your potential to be the best you can be.
