What do you want the readers of the Telegram to know?
I am blessed to be 84 years old. I've lived in Inkster for 55 years. I've enjoyed my life through good and bad times!! I love and enjoy singing. It's been a lifelong hobby. Lastly, I love my church and my family!!
Employment History: I worked at Advance Nursing Center on John Daly in Inkster for 10 years and then I went to work for Kelsey Hayes Plant in Detroit. I retired from there in 2001.
Family members: (Mother and father) Will Arthur and Emma Young. My children (6) (3) living, 4 deceased. Sylvian Grooms, Rochelle Lloyd, Donald Watson (living) Larry James Young, Barnett Young and Michael Watson (Deceased). (Sisters) Ollie Johnson, Rose Weatherby (deceased). Grandchildren, Larry, Michael, Wilfred, Cora, Stephanie, Chandise, Iesha, Rachael & Isaac, Nieces; Shawnita Weatherby Nephews – George Johnson and Kenneth Weatherby.

Who inspires you? Jesus, my children, my family, friends, my church and my Pastor
What do you remember most about growing up in your community in Mississippi?
The closeness of our community with my neighbors and the children in our community. Cookouts and just the fun times we shared.
What type of activities would you like to participate in? Bingo, Pokeno, Arts & Crafts
What message would you like to give to your grandchildren? Trust in God first, then believe in yourself. The sky is the limit if you walk up right.
What type of music do you like? I love gospel music
What type of movies do you enjoy watching? I enjoy watching all kinds of movies.
