TAYLOR, MI- Wayne County will host its last quarterly large scale household hazardous waste (HHW) collection effort of 2022 at Wayne County Community College Downriver Campus in Taylor on October15th.

"It is so important that Wayne County be an environmentally friendly community, and my administration is whole-heartedly committed to making this happen. Our upcoming Household Hazardous Waste event, which will take place on October 15 at Wayne County Community College in Taylor, is just one example of what we are doing to promote the importance of taking care of our environment and enhancing our quality of life," said Wayne County Executive Warren C. Evans. "What's great about these events is that they provide Wayne County residents with the opportunity to safely dispose and recycle hazardous materials from their homes. I would also encourage our residents to take advantage of our free recycling voucher program."

Hosted by the Department on Public Services' Environmental Services, the collection events are opportunities for the community to safely dispose of items such as batteries, computers, smoke detectors, bathroom cleaners, garden chemicals, thermometers, motor oil, and more. The waste collection will be held on the following date and location:
