Well, it seems like the number of COVID cases are on the rise. It’s time to begin to take some of the precautions that we took during the 2020-2022 pandemic. The good thing is that we lived through it. Many of us adjusted the way that we did things during that time period. Whether it was wearing a mask, staying six feet away from the next person or staying in the house, we adjusted what we did in an effort to not get very sick and to stay alive.
Early this year, the CDC announced that the Covid-19 pandemic was lifted. However, it was cautioned that Covid could reoccur like the flu does every year. We don’t get bent out of shape when we get the flu, people either take the flu shot or take some over the counter medicine when they feel the symptoms coming on.
I think we need to get prepared for the increase in Flu and Covid cases that will possibly happen this season if we don’t get ahead of it. So as I am out and about, I decided to greet people with a fist bump instead of a hand shake or a hug. I think some of the habits we used consistently during the pandemic were good habits anyway. Things like washing your hands more often, caring your own ink pen to use when signing things at the bank or stores and not standing within six feet of the next person were good habits that should always be used.
So don’t get offended when I extend my arm with a fist on the end instead of an open hand. I’m just trying to stay safe and healthy.
