Nora Vernice Alexander was born in Detroit and graduated from Northwestern High School in 1973. Her sons were the pride and joy of her life. She later married Drewry Alexander in 1990. Nora's love extended beyond her family and she embraced the dance community. Her dedication could also be seen throughout her career at Michigan Works helping people to find employment and build better lives.

Nora is survived by her loving husband Drewry Alexander, Deborah Thomas (sister), Avery Thomas (Brother), Michael Jordan (Son), Kristy Jordan (Daughter in law, Aaron Jordan (Son) Drewry Alexander II (Son), Albert Dezern (Stepson) 7 grandchildren and a host of family and friends.

Final arrangements were entrusted to Stinson Funeral Home in Detroit.
