Kamala Harris can be the President

I have been online debating about President Biden's age. One person in the chat came back at me that you don't want Kamala Harris as President somehow she is not capable to hold the office. I said yes I do want Kamala Harris as President. First it could happen. Any Vice President can be President it's in the constitution. She is second in line for the office and the Speaker of the House is third in line. She will be the first female President in the history of our nation. In 2010 Harris was elected attorney general of California becoming the first African American to hold the post. Harris ran and won the U.S. Senate on a platform of women's right to reproductive rights, criminal-justice reform, and an increase to the minimum wage. She took office in 2017.

Harris' education was Howard University studying political science and economics (B.A, 1986) a law degree from Hastings College. Well educated and well qualified to become California's Attorney General, Senator, and then Vice President of the United States so one could say that Kamala Harris is truly qualified to become President of the United States.

Under President Joe Biden she has been a splendid spokesperson for the administration. She promoted the American Rescue plan to build support for American jobs plan and the American families' plan. She has highlighted racial inequalities in our nation in particularly George Floyd. She has spoken to world leaders and dealt with real life issues of crime and the economy.

We are far behind when it comes to bringing women to leadership of our country. Men have been in the position of the President for two long, women have had a vital role in society and perhaps it may be time for the United States to give them a try. We have had many world leaders though out history from German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Margaret Thatcher the Premaster of the United Kingdom and many more. Is America ready for a female President?
