DETROIT, Mich. (March 21, 2024) – Comcast today announced that Shannon Dulin has been promoted to senior director of Community Impact for Comcast's Central Division. In this role, Dulin will lead the development of national and local philanthropic programs and initiatives in the communities Comcast serves across 13 states, including Michigan.

"Shannon has an innate ability to look at the needs of a community and find the connection points of where we can create the most impact," said Michael Mitchell, senior vice president of Government Affairs, Comcast Central Division. "This is an opportunity for Shannon to scale the incredible work she's done with partners in Michigan, Indiana and Kentucky, and strengthen our community impact strategy across the country."

Dulin will lead the strategic development and execution of community impact efforts across all four regions within Comcast's Central Division. She will continue to work closely with non-profit organizations and community groups to direct foundation grants and charitable contributions, and implement Comcast's local investment initiatives.

"The City of Detroit would not be the same without Shannon's consistent and focused efforts to increase digital access and equity for our seniors and in our community," said SaTrice Coleman-Betts, executive director, St. Patrick Senior Center. "Expanding Shannon's scope allows other communities to benefit from her commitment to service and excellence, and the lasting impact she will undoubtedly create."

Dulin was formerly director of Community Impact for Comcast's Heartland Region-which includes Indiana, Kentucky and Michigan-and facilitated the connection of corporate and nonprofit resources to help communities enhance the quality of life for residents and businesses. Dulin drove initiatives to increase access to digital skills education, and cultivated partnerships with nonprofit organizations to develop and execute programs like Project UP, Comcast's $1 billion commitment to advancing digital equity in communities across the country.

Over the last 20 years, Dulin has held several community and government affairs roles with Comcast-including serving as External Affairs Manager in both Detroit and Savannah, Georgia.

Dulin currently serves on the boards of the Detroit Chapter of the Association for Multi-Ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC), the Great Lakes Chapter of The WICT Network, and on the Connect313 Joint Assembly. She is also a proud mentor with the Midnight Golf Program. Dulin earned her master's degree from Wayne State University in Detroit and her bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
