Serving Metropolitan Detroit Since 1944
DETROIT- The Detroit Institute of Arts (DIA) recently announced the Wayne County communities that will participate in the 2024 Inside|Out program. Inside|Out brings high-quality reproductions of DIA's collection to outdoor venues throughout Metro Detroit to increase engagement between the museum and its diverse audiences in Macomb, Oakland and Wayne counties.
"We're delighted to celebrate the 15th year of this popular program in collaboration with our 2024 Wayne County community partners," said Julie McFarland, Executive Director of Public Affairs and Engagement at the DIA. "We hope residents will enjoy having a DIA experience close to home and be inspired to visit the Museum to see the reproductions from their community installations in person and more.
The North Rosedale Park neighborhood in Detroit will be one of Wayne County's participating communities. North Rosedale Park is celebrating its 100th anniversary as a neighborhood in 2024, making it a perfect location for Inside|Out as the neighborhood association gears up for festive celebrations all year long to mark its centennial.
Other Wayne County communities include:
City of Wayne
Dearborn
Redford Township
Romulus
Wayne County Community College District
"As our neighborhood celebrates 100 years, we witness these art masterpieces take their place amidst the greenery of our park," said Beverly Fredrick, President of North Rosedale Park Civic Association. "We find joy in encountering unexpected beauty enhancing our surroundings. In their presence, we are reminded of the power of art to uplift and inspire us."
Inside|Out is made possible by the Tri-County millage investment in the DIA. In addition to experiencing Inside|Out in their communities, residents of Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties always receive free admission to the DIA.
