Ecorse, MI – The City of Ecorse is preparing for the exciting finale of the Downriver MotorCity Jazz Series at John Dingell Riverfront Park, culminating with a spectacular fireworks display.
The month long Downriver MotorCity Jazz Series has brought many visitors and friends to the Ecorse waterfront. On Saturday July 6, the organizing committee has pulled out of the stops to ensure the community will have a day to remember. There will be something for everyone.
Event Schedule: Activities and performances for all ages will begin at 3:00 PM with RSVP All- Stars. The pavilion will be closed to fishing starting at 6:00 AM to facilitate event setup and ensure safety throughout the day.
Special Guests: Welcoming concert-goers are special invited guests Wayne County Sheriff Raphael Washington and County Executive Warren C. Evans.
Main Act: The main performance featuring Tim Bowman will begin at 6:30 PM. Bowman, a luminary of contemporary jazz, is set to headline the Downriver MotorCity Jazz Series finale on July 6th. His single "Ocean Blue" has topped the jazz charts, showcasing his exceptional talent and broad appeal. With a
career spanning over three decades, Bowman is renowned worldwide for his soulful melodies, impeccable technique, and boundless creativity as a virtuoso guitarist, composer, and producer. Don't miss his captivating performance that transcends musical boundaries and promises to delight audiences of all ages.
Kids Activities: Enjoy bounce houses and other kids' activities available for a $5 fee per wristband.
Vendors: Browse a variety of retail vendors and nonprofit community service organizations offering goods and services.
Fireworks: A dazzling display will commence at dusk along the Detroit River banks of Ecorse, lasting approximately 30 minutes accompanied by sounds of local Ecorse talent, DJ Scottie.

Food and Refreshments: Indulge in a variety of food trucks offering delicious treats.
Alcohol Policy: Outside alcohol is not permitted in Dingell Park. A beer and wine cooler will be available for purchase in the beer tent. All sales are cash only.
Tent & Pet Policy: For the safety and comfort of all attendees, no dogs or other pets are allowed at the event. No tents will be allowed
Admission: Admission is free and open to the public. Guest are advised to bring lawn chairs and blankets as not seating to the general public will be available.

Road Closures and Parking Information:
Road Closures: West Jefferson Avenue directly in front of John Dingell Riverfront Park will be closed to vehicular traffic starting at 12:00 AM on July 6th. Please plan alternate routes as there will be no street parking available near the park.
Parking: Limited parking will be available on nearby neighborhood streets and select retail locations and stores. Attendees are encouraged to carpool or use rideshare services. No onsite park will be available after 6AM on July 6.
Early Arrival Encouraged: To ease access and parking, attendees are encouraged to arrive early.
