Noah Lyles has been taking the sports world by storm not only for his athletic ability but his haughty mouth. Last year he sparked a serious debate over NBA stars calling themselves world champions. However, the men's and women's team stood on business, and flourished by bringing home the gold.
After trolling Lyles in a bold manner, he doubled down on his stance. To this day, Lyles continues to be a menace in the sports world. He just can't seem to let the debate of world champions go. Just recently, Lyles claimed that Super Bowl champions shouldn't refer to themselves as world champions. Upon hearing that, NFL star, Tyreek Hill claimed he could beat "the world's fastest man."
"Noah Lyles can't say anything after what just happened to him," Hill told Kay Adams of the Up and Adams show. "Then he wants to come out and pretend like he's sick, I feel like that's horse radish," Hill continued.
"Would you like to race him when he gets home," asked Adams.
"I would beat Noah Lyles," Hill responded.
Lyles was bewildered by the statement, and on who Hill even is. "What's that guy...what's that cheetah guy from football," Lyles told NBC Sports. "Tyreek Hill," Lyles blurted out after a good minute.
Their feud continued Sunday morning when Lyles blasted Hill for being a "clout chaser."
"I'm a put it like this, Tyreek is just chasing clout...If he really wanted to race people, he would've showed up like Dk Metcalf...the man dodges smoke, I don't got time for that. If you are serious about it, you'll see me on the track," Lyles told Shannon Sharpe and Chad Johnson of The Night Cap.
In response, Hill put out a cryptic tweet the same day, asking him to "sign the contract, and "lock in" for a 50-yard race. If both athletes are sincere about this race, it could shape up to be an exciting matchup. As of right now, Lyles appears to be soaking up his newfound stardom. His petty streak of terrorizing various sports leagues has seemingly just begun.
