Belleville welcomed the community for the 2024 Harvest Festival. A time where the community can enjoy each other and the natural beauty of Belleville and Sumpter township before temperatures drop, and the colors change. The Festival met towns folk with family fun, local vendors, even a scarecrow contest. The library was also open for activities, recipe sharing, and city history.
The Belleville Tractor Parade was a fitting piece to the festival. Dozens of tractors hauled riders to the fair to take in the beautiful landscapes. While galavanting through the roads leaving spectators in awe on their front yard. The parade stopped at the fair. Where people could interact and take pictures with the convoy.
Keion Jackson represented the Wayne County Farm Bureau in the tractor parade. Jackson is the active Young Farmer chair of the organization. The cherry red-tractor represented by the young farmers of Wayne County, and sponsored by Temples Tree Service, LLC. The Young Farmers machine served as the caboose of the parade. Riding closest to the provided police Escort.
Keion's goal of showing up for his organization was a success. Many older farmers stopped by his table with a touched, nostalgic look in their eyes. Reflecting on the times they served. Keion is a fresh face of the chair, determined to spread representation to agriculture and farming spaces. How does that by staying collaborating with outside organizations, and showing up in his hometown of Belleville Michigan.
