Rise Above the Clouds provides reading and hands-on activities for children between the ages of two and ten, in the Downriver and Detroit area.

Rise Above the Clouds recently collaborated with the River Rouge Library to host an afternoon of family book fun. Kayvonna provided free resources, books, and invited local Authors to read stories to the children in attendance. The youth absorbed tales of self love, manners, and kindness to others. While Kayvonna arranged crafts and questions to curate their attention.

The River Rouge Library team up was one of many for Kayvonna. Rise Above the Clouds has been on a season-long book tour. Providing literacy activities throughout community libraries, and sponsoring reading tours to local daycare centers. When asked about her goals and motivations, Kayvonna had this to say.

"I want the kids in my community to thrive in reading. As a former teacher, lover of books and someone who benefited from my local library River Rouge Library, I want the kids to know that knowledge is power! Today a reader, tomorrow a leader!"
