One Detroit Credit Union Celebrates Opening of Inkster's First Bank Branch in Seven Years

Inkster, MI – One Detroit Credit Union celebrated the grand opening of its new mini branch,

marking a significant milestone for the City of Inkster. The ribbon-cutting ceremony, held at the Booker Dozier Recreation Center, welcomed community members, local officials, and leaders came together to celebrate the city's first financial institution in over seven years.

The event drew remarks from key leaders, including Inkster Mayor Byron Nolen, Larissa

Richardson from Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib's office, community advocate, Dr. Fleda Fleming, and One Detroit Credit Union executives Hank Hubbard (CEO) and Portia Powell (CXO and incoming CEO). Speakers highlighted the importance of restoring financial services to underserved communities and the role this new branch will play in creating economic opportunities for Inkster residents.
