History Was Made by The Pen of President Donald J. Trump in His First Week of Presidency

To no surprise by some Americans, President Donald Trump's second term in the OvalOffice is off to an unbelievable start! Sworn in as the 47 th President, he is not wasting time at all, on delivering the promises that he told MAGA supporters during the campaign trail.

Last week, President Trump used his power to write hundreds of executive actions. According to the White House, these executive actions were to secure the border, deport

criminal illegal immigrants, unleash American prosperity, lower costs, increase government transparency and reinstitute merit-based hiring in the federal government. The White House say what America is witnessing has been called, "The Trump Effect". Not needing approval by congress to sign an executive order, some presidents have used them to execute promises. Promises that they lead with during their campaigns or their policy goals that may face disapproval in Congress. Therefore, an executive order is an order issued unilaterally by the president who carries the force of law.

During his first week on the job, Trump signed a total of 35 executive orders. That is the most executive orders written than any other president in the last 15 presidents and that list would start with Franklin D. Roosevelt who took office back in 1933. Here's a list of the executive orders that were signed by the president last week.

No matter your political viewpoints, all should be able to agree that by the expansion of executive power, millions of Americans will dramatically see a change in life.

List of Executive Orders

 Enforcing the Hyde Amendment (revokes two executive orders signed by Biden)

 Emergency measure to provide water resources in California and improve disaster response in certain areas

 Council to assess the Federal Emergency Management Agency

 Removing barriers to American Leadership in AI (revokes one executive order signed by Biden)

 President Council of Advisors on Science and Technology

 Declassification of records concerning the assassinations of President J.F. Kennedy, Senator Robert Kennedy and Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

 Strengthening American Leadership in Digital Financial Technology

 Designation of Ansar Allah as a foreign terrorist organization

 Ending illegal discrimination and restoring merit-based opportunity (Revokes executive orders by former Presidents Bill Clinton, Lyndon Johnson and Barack Obama)

 Restoring names that honor American greatness

President Trump's first week can be summarized as "Promises Made, Promises Kept" said the White House. So far, he has ended the EV mandate, pardoned two Washington D.C. police offers, sent military to secure the boarder, ended government censorship, restoring freedom ofspeech and he has pardoned Jan 6 th Rioters. Only time will tell what is next to come out of the oval office by the President. Metro Detroiters, much like the entire nation, are vast in their viewpoints. Some side with the President, while others are in a complete panic as they wonder what they could be faced with in the future.

Nevertheless, we live to face another day and it's our own personal choice and decision on how you internalize the news that comes out of the White House. Even some of Trump allies have remained skeptical. They are concerned that Trump tests the bounds of his presidential authority. We are heading into the second week of Trump's Presidency and unfortunately, it's too early for us to know what's next. Some citizens consider what's happened over the week as chaos, while other citizens are praising him for what they feel is right.
